Farmacias Benavides celebrates 10 years of the “Race Rosa Fuerte”

Its objective is to raise funds that are destined to the realization of reconstructive surgeries and breast prosthesis donation for women who have survived breast cancer through the Alma Foundation.

With this in mind, the Strong Pink Race 2024 The race will take place on October 13 at the Valle Oriente Circuit in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. It will include 5k/10k routes and RETO ROSA FUERTE, which consists of a 10k + 1.6k challenge on a slope. A total of 3,700 runners are expected to participate.

Since 2013, more than 32,000 runners have contributed to providing more than 170 reconstructive surgeries and more than 1,300 external breast prostheses to more than 1,500 women who have survived breast cancer.

Furthermore, through the Rosa Fuerte race initiative organized by Farmacias Benavides, more than $9,000,000.00 pesos have been raised to benefit the Alma Foundation.

One of the treatments to prevent or treat breast cancer is mastectomy, that is, a surgery that removes the breast or part of it. When a patient is at high risk, it can be performed early. This procedure is very effective in preventing the recurrence of cancer, which represents an alternative and opportunity for patients.
