Faris Haroun was close to AA Ghent last summer, but still stayed with Antwerp. Meanwhile, the 34-year-old does not want to know anything about a departure.
“I have to feel loved by a club. That was not the case last year and that is why I wanted to leave. But in the meantime the folds have been ironed out and I am happy here”, says Haroun in Gazet of Antwerp. “I want to end my career here and want to work for the club later.”
Leko can go to war with me
Meanwhile, things have changed at Antwerp. Boloni was replaced by Leko and big names like Bolat, Mirallas, Hoedt and Defour are no more. “Under Leko there is more discipline. Last year a training started five minutes later, but that is not the case with Leko. As a captain it is easier, because then I do not have to act constantly.”
