Fargo Season 5 finally begins Tuesday, November 21 on US cable network FX. The homage to the oeuvre of the Coen Brothers, which has received many awards, especially at a young age, can again come up with a first-class ensemble this year: This is led by Emmy award winner Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and by Ted Lasso alumna Juno Temple. In addition to the official start date, a whole series of preview images and the new season poster have now been unveiled

Series creator Noah Hawley has prepared a total of ten new episodes. The action is said to be set in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2019, before the start of the corona pandemic. The focus is on the housewife Dorothy “Dot” Lyon (Temple), who leads a completely normal family life in the American Midwest. But then her past catches up with her and she gets in trouble with the law. This is represented by Sheriff Roy Tillman (Hamm), who has been chasing her for quite a while and playing by his own rules

By his side is his loyal but ailing son Gator, played by Stranger Things rising star Joe Keery. He really wants to prove himself to his strict father. But Roy thinks he’s useless and hires the shady nose Ole Munch (Sam Spruell) to hunt Dot. While Dot tries to shield her family from their problems, her naïve husband Wayne (David Rysdahl) keeps running to his mother for help

She is one Lorraine Lyon, played by Jennifer Jason Leigh (Atypical). As CEO of the country’s largest debt collection agency, she couldn’t be more disappointed with her son’s choice of wife. And she makes no secret of her contempt for Dot. But, as things get tighter and tighter for Dot, Lorraine, despite all antipathy, hires her henchman Danish Graves (Dave Foley) to help her daughter-in-law out of trouble

When Roy and Ole are joined by Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead (Richa Moorjani, Never Have I Ever) and North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr (Lamorne Morris, New Girl) on Dot, things get worse and worse for the hunted. But a lion mother like Dot Lyon shouldn’t be pushed into a corner.
