The Disney musical “Frozen” enchanted audiences for the last time in Hamburg on Sunday evening. The audience thanked the actors for their performance with screams of joy and huge applause. Many former participants also came to celebrate farewell together.
The play about Anna and her sister Elsa, who has icy powers, now moves on to Stuttgart. From the end of November, the Stage Apollo will become an ice palace.
According to the organizer, there were around 1,190 shows from the German premiere in November 2021 until the farewell. “With Frozen we have sparked millions of audience enthusiasm in Hamburg: around 1.5 million times, to be exact,” said Stephan Jaekel from Stage Entertainment Germany recently.
On December 1st, “MJ – The Michael Jackson Musical” will celebrate its German premiere at Hamburg’s Stage Theater an der Elbe.
Many songs added
For the musical “Frozen” based on the movie of the same name, the story about the sisters Anna and Elsa and their companions Kristoff, the snowman Olaf and the reindeer Sven was supplemented with numerous songs.
The main cast had changed once since 2021. Since October 2023, Willemijn Verkaik has played the main role of Elsa, while Abla Alaoui took on the role of Anna. According to the information, seven actors were there in Hamburg from the beginning – including Paolo Ava as Sven.
