Local reports identified the husband as Abraham Muyunda, an official at the Zambian tax office.
While the legal wife who is known to have been married for 11 years is identified as Caroline Mubita.
Caroline reportedly learned of the marriage from neighbors.
After that, he immediately came to church while carrying the baby on his back.
Caroline said her husband was at home in the morning before finally requesting permission to leave town on business grounds, according to reports.
A dramatic video widely shared on social media in Zambia shows the woman approaching the altar screaming.
“This man is my husband.”
The groom looked embarrassed, he folded his arms daring not to face the woman.
As people tried to hold back, the woman shouted: “What the hell?”
“This man is my husband. We have not divorced or fought,” she added.
Abraham told local media that his wife left him when he lost his job in 2013.
He claims his wife only returned to his arms after realizing his current success.
The bride’s family is reported to have learned of Abraham’s marriage.
According to news sources, Abraham was taken to the police station but he was not arrested on any charges.
The pastor who presided over the wedding ceremony reportedly told invited guests to attend the reception.

According to the law in Zambia itself prohibits the practice of polygamy.
Anyone engaging in polygamy can be prosecuted and jailed for up to seven years under the law Zambia.
