Although he had been away from Antwerp for decades, actor Ivo Pauwels will be given a farewell on Sunday September 17 in Theater Elckerlyc in Antwerp. Followed by a scattering of ashes in the Scheldt at a later date in an intimate circle. “It has always remained his Koekenstad,” says his widow Diana More (63). “He had already given up his wish to scatter in the Scheldt. You know what you have to do, he whispered to me on Thursday when he felt that the end was near.”
