CATANZARO – Doctor Annibale Battaglia, a general practitioner, well known in the capital city, where he carried out his activity, died this morning at the age of 68. The doctor, who had contracted the coronavirus in recent weeks, died this morning in the resuscitation ward of the “Pugliese” hospital where he had been hospitalized following the worsening of his condition.
A member of the Mediass association (family doctors – Catanzaro), Battaglia is remembered, with numerous messages on social media, as “a man and a doctor of great ability”, esteemed and loved by everyone, especially by the patients he followed “with great self-denial and availability “.
This death brings the death toll in the province of Catanzaro to 45 since the outbreak of the covid pandemic.
