Mohamed Farag Amer, president of Smouha Club, said that we, as excellent clubs, play in an amateur league, adding that the recent period has witnessed some attempts to show problems related to the application of video assistive technology.

During radio statements for the “One Two” program broadcast on Radio On Sport, Amer said: “The lack of foreign goalkeepers has created good goalkeepers for the team, and if the decision to return foreign guards is approved, this will reduce the chances of national guards.”
He continued: “The Football Association refused to allow the formation of the Clubs League, because it adheres to managing the league and this is not in the interest of Egyptian football. (We are professional clubs but we play an amateur league).”
Regarding his opinion on stopping the video assistive technology, the President of Smouha said: “It is difficult to complete the season without applying the VAR, but what I see now is that there is an attempt to show the technology in a way that is not good, and during the last weeks some problems have appeared and the mouse was accused of it.”
It is worth noting that Smouha ranks ninth in the Egyptian Premier League table with 9 points.
