Far Cry 6 will be released in October – see two new trailers

Ubisoft spent Friday night showcasing more of the upcoming blockbuster game, Far Cry 6. In addition, they were able to announce that the game will be released this fall, October 7, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, PlayStation 5, Stadia and Windows.

This time the trip goes to the island of Yara which is located in the Caribbean. Here we get to explore both tropical, colorful areas, and degraded urban complexes, such as the capital Esperanza which suffers under the regime.

We take the role of Dani Rojas, who hangs on to the resistance movement in Yara, and takes up the fight against dictator Antón Castillos.

As with previous games in the series, Ubisoft balances on a thin line between campy enemies and violent conflicts. Some of the more cunning developers showed off was, among other things, a gun that can shoot CDs that play Los Del Rio’s nineties hit Macarena.

Far Cry 6 was first unveiled last summer, and was actually due in February 2021. As with many other games, the launch was postponed due to difficulties in developing during the corona pandemic, which resulted in the new release date this fall.
