In the anniversary event for the completion of 50 years of the presence of the legendary F-4 (Phantom) aircraft in the service of the Air Force at the 117th Fighter Wing (117PM)/Andravidas Air Base, BIMAtodoti is mentioned and stands in two events.
– The first concerns the Phantom pilot’s helmet that he handed over to the 90-year-old Vassilis Tsaousisthe commander of the 338th Bombardment Squadron Nikolas Karas. Mr. Tsaoussis was the first commander of the Phantoms, who came to our country 50 years ago and is the father of our ambassador in London, Yannis Tsaousis.
– The second event on which BIMAtototis stands, is the number of retired pilots who attended the touching event, in the presence of the Minister of Defense Nikos Dendias, whom the country thanked for their services.
