Fans worldwide prefer Verstappen well over Hamilton after the first half of the season

The official Formula 1 site allowed fans to vote for all drivers after the Hungarian Grand Prix. On a scale of 1 to 10, they had to assign a score to each driver for their performance in the first half of the season, after which an average score was generated for each of the 20 drivers.

Two drivers were head and shoulders above the rest according to Formula 1 fans. Max Verstappen and Lando Norris achieved an 8.8 average, trumping everyone and sharing first place. At an appropriate distance comes George Russell, who received a 7.7 from the fans. Charles Leclerc secured fourth place, while Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly shared fifth place.

Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Esteban Ocon also made it to the list of the best ten drivers of the first half of the season. Hamilton was in eighth place, with a 7.2 average.
