It’s no secret that the internet can be a hostile place full of toxic people. Even so, from time to time we come across stories that crush our hearts and restore our faith in humanity. Fortunately, this time we will share one of those stories that shows that gamers are capable of great things when they leave their differences behind and come together for a common good.
Through a post on Twitter, pediatric oncologist Erica C. Kaye stated that one of her patients is a child who, unfortunately, has cancer. She explains that one of the infant’s dreams is to play the next installments of Pokémonbut ensures that it is unlikely to make it to launch day alive.
He wants to play it so desperately. Maybe he could play a beta version? Or receive a message from game creators? His parents ask everyone to please RT to connect us with someone who can help him achieve this dream. 2/end @PokemonUnite @PokemonNewsUK @playpokemon @PokemonGoNews

In this way, the doctor turned to Twitter to ask for help in the hope that an employee of The Pokémon Company will hear the story and can make the child fulfill his dream before he dies. Fortunately, thousands of fans showed solidarity with this noble cause.
Child with cancer could play Pokémon Scarlet & Violet before its launch
In response to Erica C. Kaye’s request, thousands of Twitter users wanted to contribute their grain of sand and shared the publication, which has almost 13,000 likes and more than 5,000 retweets at the time of writing these lines. Fortunately, these efforts paid off.
What happens is that Eric Neustadter, vice president of technology at The Pokémon Company, spoke on social networks and stated that, despite the fact that it may not be possible to deliver copies of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet to the young man with cancer, he does want to do something so that he can play the titles before their premiere. Given this, he asked the doctor for his contact information.
Thank you so much! This is my first time trying to send a DM, so please let me know if you don’t receive it. Very grateful for your caring.

In another publication, the doctor thanked the community for its support and assured that “the right people are already working on it.” So it seems that this story will have a happy ending. We wish with all our hearts that the young man can fulfill his dream.
