Tesla CEO Elon Musk is known for his firm beliefs, which he does not let go even when he is almost alone – so he brought Tesla electric cars and spaceX reusable rockets to the world and won fans worldwide, the number of which is in the millions should go. In the coronavirus crisis, however, Musk repeatedly disturbed the benevolent with soothing statements that deviate far from the medical mainstream. And now the Tesla boss’s Twitter account was so clearly against the current corona restrictions that some followers suspected that he had been hacked.
Tesla boss demands freedom
“Liberate America now,” it said under Musk’s Twitter name after US time late Tuesday evening, written only with capital letters that are understood as screaming on social media. Previously, he commented on an opinion article about the meaning of exit restrictions due to Corona with the words “Give people back their freedom!” And a message about easing in Texas with “Bravo Texas”.
At the beginning of the pandemic, the Tesla chief had said she was probably no worse than a common cold. In mid-March he wrote that at the end of April there would be no new corona cases in the United States. He opposed a block order from the district administration responsible for the Fremont factory for several days, arguing that Tesla was an “essential” company under US law that needed to continue working.

But the Tesla boss hadn’t dared to go as far as publicly now, and even for some people close to him that was obviously too much. Only with “hm ok” did the podcast Third Row Tesla, consisting of self-confessed Musk and Tesla fans, immediately respond to his request for liberation. Another well-known Tesla owner asked whether the Twitter account had been hacked (which others later suspected). One user said she loved the Tesla CEO, but he should try to get some sleep, and optionally asked whether Musk was sarcastic, drunk, or suddenly mutated to Donald Trump.
Little support for Tesla boss
Of course, the usual harsh Twitter attacks by his opponents on Musk did not fail to appear, but the worried, astonished, or frightened news seemed to predominate at first. The Tesla boss received relatively little support. Anyone who tried to find truth in his news series pointed out that the economic and personal consequences of an ongoing curfew must be weighed against the purely medical infection. In addition, as stated in one of the articles commented by Musk, it is currently not clear that rapid corona locks really did result in fewer deaths.
