Mumbai: After seeing pictures of Indian players wearing the name and logo of Dream XI, the new jersey sponsors of the Indian cricket team, the fans criticized the fans on social media. Adidas are the kit sponsors of the Indian team and the Indian jersey launched by Adidas was introduced for the first time in the World Test Championship. The fans applauded after seeing the new look jersey.
But with Dream XI being chosen as the jersey sponsors by BCCI, the jersey with blue stripes on the shoulders and the logo written in bright red letters in the middle and the Dream XI logo have disappointed the fans. The fans mainly pointed out the lack of fit when the bright red name appeared on the blue striped jersey instead of Dream XI’s name or logo. Both arms have the Dream XI logo in bold red.

Dream XI, a fantasy gaming app, has replaced Byjus as the official jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team. He had a contract with Byjus until November but the contract was terminated by March. The Indian cricket team went without jersey sponsors in the World Test Championship final after terminating its contract with Baijus. Later on June 14, BCCI invited applications for new sponsors. In this, Dream XI was selected as the jersey sponsor.

I wonder if this is how they want their brand to stand out.
There is a total lack of aesthetic sense in any cricket jersey in India, IPL included. The mindless splashing of jarring logos is one part of it. Money doesn’t buy class I guess.
