21-year-old artist Jojo Siwa became known thanks to her participation in the program “Dance Moms”, in which she performed with her mother in 2016. First, she showed her dancing skills, and when she gained popularity and interest from show business, she began to discover her other talents. She entered the world of music. In 2016, she released her first single “Boomerang”, which quickly became a hit. Suffice it to say that the music video has almost a billion views.
At the peak, Jojo took a break from music and disappeared. After a few years of absence, she is creating again. She recently released a new album. There is one song on the album that resembles Polish disco polo. We are talking about “Yesterday’s Tomorrow’s Today”. The song became a hit on TikTok, but the singer was criticized for the stylistic setting of the composition.
Pakosińska: I am glad that I had the courage to decide to break up Newseria Lifestyle/press release
Few people remember that Jojo Siwa has Polish roots on her father’s side. It’s no wonder that she got the disco polo vibe and wanted to record a song in that style. Although Polish fans are delighted, foreign fans are not necessarily so. The 21-year-old decided to respond to the unfavorable comments.
The performer’s reaction was immediately noticed by Polish fans. One of them took the opportunity to ask if Jojo was planning to represent Poland at Eurovision 2025. She responded without hesitation.
“Yes,” Siwa wrote.
Could she actually perform in the European Song Contest as a Pole? Yes. What’s more, it wouldn’t be the first time an American with Polish roots represented our country at this unique event. In 2008, Poland sent Isis Gee to Eurovision. Unfortunately, she came second to last in the final with her song “For Life.” Would Siwa have done better?
