It’s Mother’s Day today. And to tell them that you love them, there is obviously the traditional bouquet of flowers. In La Mézière near Rennes, it is a champion who prepares them: Fanny, 32, has been crowned French champion of florists 2020.
–
The union of florist artisans crowned her in 2020 for her work, offering her the title of best florist in France. So on this Mother’s Day Sunday, the young Fanny has more than ever the desire to surpass herself to offer the best of her art to her clients.
At “Mademoiselle Rose”, the sign of the stall at La Mézière where Fanny, from Betton near Rennes works, it is the day not to be missed. The young woman only slept a few hours the day before D-Day.
In general, Mother’s Day represents 10% of the store’s turnover year-round. Since flowers are a perishable product, everything has to be done at the last minute. Arrivals are made in the middle of the week and then you have to tackle the orders without delay.

But the pressure, Fanny knows and customers are generally patient! Above all, the champion’s bouquets satisfy everyone, with their compositions and because there is something for all budgets.

The customers are unanimous when they leave the store. “It’s very nice to have a shopkeeper who is recognized in the town!” a gentleman tells us. “It is our brilliant Macerian, champion of France, it is the pride of Mézière” adds another. And this lady concludes: “She always gives us beautiful bouquets, there I come to look for one for my mother. I hope that my husband will also think about it for me!”
The message has passed ….
