For his part, Clément Bidard went to the end of himself to snatch bronze in the 200m medley in 2’02”53, while he narrowly qualified for the grand final in the morning in the heats ( 2’05”03). The 18-year-old Kolbsheimois, already a medalist in the 200 m breaststroke (silver) and 400 m medley (bronze), leaves the Var with his legs stewed but with the prospect of a resplendent spring.
In total, the Alsatian swimmers won seven medals at the French winter long-course championships.
