This was stated by Milka Hristova, chairperson of the BSP group in the SOS, at a briefing, the reporter of Focus Agency. Hristova explained that according to the organizational rules for the activities of the SOS, there should have been a regular session of the council. “There won’t be one. There is no explanation for this, despite our repeated attempts to get an answer”, commented Milka Hristova and explained that the most likely reason for them is the upcoming local elections, but they cannot be a justifiable reason. “According to the current legislation in our country and regulations, the powers of the composition of the SOS continue until the moment when a new composition is elected. There is no reason why the current composition should not work for three months”, stressed Hristova.
She specified that it is necessary for the local parliament to solve problems of the SO and its citizens, and a number of uncomfortable topics will be swept under the carpet. “GERB hid pre-election, conveniently, but I hope that this kind of behavior will be properly evaluated by the voters,” she said.
Milka Hristova addressed the citizens of Sofia and emphasized that they demand that the work of the SOS be resumed, that the accumulated problems be commented on and solved, as it is not normal for the municipal parliament to be inactive for more than three months.
