Dangerous trends
This case shows once again that showing off money on the streets of America should not be taken lightly. In the past, there have been increasing cases in which influencers, rappers and ordinary citizens have repeatedly fallen victim to robberies, some of which even had fatal consequences.
Such incidents underscore the risks associated with flaunting wealth. One of the most famous cases was the death of Pop Smoke, who, shortly after publishing a story from a mansion, was the victim of a burglary in which he was shot and lost his life.
This tragic story shows how dangerous it can be to share personal information and wealth on social media. Pop Smoke’s murder remains a cautionary tale about the dangers that come with celebrity in the modern world.
But what is now making the rounds on social media is a big shock for many X/Twitter users. The recent incident in which a fan was robbed after taking a photo once again highlights the dangerous consequences of flaunting money and valuables in public.
Dougie B
Drill rapper Dougie B, who has gang ties in Bronx, New York, has reportedly been sentenced to 20 years in prison. The conviction is based on a robbery in which a fan who had previously asked for a photo was the victim.
The photo, which is currently going viral on X/Twitter, shows why the robbery happened. The young man next to the rapper is posing with a lot of $20 bills, which may have caught the rapper’s attention. His justification: “The demons inside me wanted me to rob him. It wasn’t me.”
Here is the tweet about it:
