The famous Ukrainian actor Alexander Pecheritsa, who previously signed up for territorial defense, said that he resigned from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
As the Ukrainian online publication writes, “Reviewer“, the actor was part of the 128th battalion, which took part in hostilities in the Kharkov direction.
Pecheritsa admitted that while on the front line, he was afraid of being surrounded.
“During shelling, shells often fell nearby, each time there was this anxiety and fear that we would be surrounded, or that a mine would land, or that a tank would start shelling our position,” he shared his impressions.
At the same time, the actor avoided a clear answer to a direct question about the reasons for his dismissal and the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He rather evasively explained that he made this decision due to “family circumstances.” Pecheritsa noted that his wife and child are outside Ukraine “for security reasons.”
Actor Alexander Pecheritsa is a native of St. Petersburg. He starred in more than 30 films and TV series, including “The Return of Mukhtar 3” and “Brother for Brother.”
