Serbian referee at Sporting-Tottenham, Greek at FC Porto-Club Brugge.
Serbian Srdjan Jovanovic has been appointed to referee the second leg of the Champions League group stage between Sporting and Tottenham on Sunday, while Greek Tasos Sidiropoulos will be at FC Porto-Club Brugge.
According to the official UEFA website, Jovanovic will referee the match at the José Alvalade stadium, scheduled for Tuesday at 17:45, assisted by compatriots Uros Stojkovic and Milan Mihajlovic, while Novak Simovic will be the fourth referee.
For his part, the Italian Paolo Valeri, assisted by his compatriot Massimiliano Irrati, will lead the VAR in the match of the second phase of Group D, led by the “lions” and the English.
In the first round, Sporting won 3-0 at Europa League debut Eintracht Frankfurt, while Tottenham beat Marseille 2-0 at home.
At the Estadio do Dragão, where FC Porto host Club Brugge from 20:00, the refereeing team is Greek, with Sidiropoulos with Polychronis Kostaras and Lázaros Dimitriadis as assistants, with Aristotelis Diamantipoulos as fourth referee.
In the VAR there will also be the Hellenic Agelos Evangelou, in which he will have the Italian Marco Di Bello as assistant.
In the first round of Group D, FC Porto lost 2-1 at Atlético de Madrid, while Club Brugge beat Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 at home.
