Małgorzata Braunek she was one of the most popular Polish actresses, and viewers loved her for playing the role of Oleńka in “The Deluge” and Baśka in “Nad rozlewiskiem”. The actress had been fighting ovarian cancer for over a year and it seemed that after three surgeries and a series of chemotherapy she was getting better, her health suddenly deteriorated. Despite everything, the smile never left her face, and the star never stopped working until the end. In June 2013, she was hospitalized, and two months later she appeared on the set of the series “Nad rozlewiskiem”.

Małgorzata Braunek was a Buddhist for years. Therefore, the choice of the Evangelical-Augsburg cemetery was not a coincidence. In this necropolis there was already the grave of Ruta Braunek, the mother of a famous actress. The ladies rest together, buried in a non-traditional grave – instead of a heavy slab, there are only two boulders. The place is quiet and surrounded by a lot of greenery, and there is a short sentence on the tombstone that gives food for thought.
