It is also recommended for asthma and difficulty breathing. From the outside, it takes care of the hair and supports its growth. Nettle is most often used as a decoction or as a tasty syrup. We will show you how to prepare cold or cooked nettle syrup. The syrup is taken in spoons all year round or added to tea.

Boiled nettle syrup

You will need 3.5 liters of water and about 80 nettles with a length of 20 cm. First, wash the nettles and cut them into smaller pieces. Pour water in a large pot and add 100 g of citric acid. Mix and add 4 organic lemons with a well-washed peel. You cut them into wheels. Bring the whole mixture to a boil with occasional stirring and boil for 5 minutes. Allow to cool and wait 24 hours. Finally, drain everything and mix 3.5 kg of sugar into the finished extract. You no longer cook, you just heat it to dissolve the sugar well. The finished syrup is poured into washed and boiled bottles as soon as it cools.

Cold nettle syrup

The ingredients remain the same, just add 200 g of citric acid. Put the washed and chopped nettles in boiled and cooled water. You add others except sugar. Stir and leave to rest for 24 hours. Then strain everything and squeeze the lemons. Pour in the sugar and either heat briefly and stir until the sugar dissolves, or stir the mixture every half hour for half an hour and let the sugar dissolve cold. It will take several hours for the sugar to completely dissolve.
