The reasons why this happens are complex, but at the same time simple, the first of which is the massification of popular culture, where artists are achieving a notoriety that they had never achieved in the past.
The other, perhaps the saddest, is the tiredness of the population, caused by the failure of the political class to solve their problems and not only because of that, by the cynicism with which they enrich themselves and violate the rules that they should be defending.
Just look at the number of Mexican governors who are in jail or who are being investigated for corruption and links with organized crime.
Politicians have reached the threshold of total discredit, there is no respected political class, nor that has absolute trust in the people, at least not in Mexico, where the left exhausts the last credibility ticket that was emanated from the polls .
The problem is that celebrities are not a guarantee of anything, except circus and scandals, and for a better example there is the American Donald Trump, the millionaire who thought he would rescue a country and only managed to leave a trail of problems.
Politics should cease to be the spoils of celebrities and adventurers and should be citizenized and professionalized.
