At the same time, Sokratis Famellos was asked to comment on the declassification of the two protected witnesses in the Novartis case.
According to his words to R/S Politica of Heraklion, “a protected process the government did not just mortgage it but went out to celebrate”.
He described all this as a “blow to the rule of law”, as the prime minister “also creates insecurity for protected witnesses”.
“Mr. Mtsaotakis is attacking the rule of law in order to maintain the system of power and the supporters who are around his government. Mr. Mitsotakis tried to subvert a court decision to serve a political plan,” he also argued.

Witnesses for important cases must feel safe in Greece, which is not the case today.
The government of the so-called elites continues to undermine the Rule of Law in order to feed the system of power that sustains it, which is constantly moving us further away from the European acquis.
A strong SYRIZA-PS means respect for the work of the independent judiciary and a strong Rule of Law for the benefit of society.”
