Petr, his wife Lucia (43) and children Gréta (9) and Ferdinand Sonny (15) went to the city to enjoy the festive mood. When they returned, they saw that their chimney was on fire! “One moment you’re feeling relaxed and the next you’re happy to have a roof over your head thanks to the heroic fire department,” comments Petr. The roof remained intact, and the burning chimney in the Christmas-decorated hall only made a mess, so it was enough to take a vacuum cleaner, a bucket, a broom and a rag. “Of course we have a chimney overhaul. But it is huge and apparently something has settled there somewhere. Firefighters are continuing to search for what caused it.” revealed Aha! Peter.

Although there could have been a huge disaster, Peter took the whole thing with humor. With Lucia and the fire department, he immortalized himself in the hall and from the photo he created a New Year’s PF for friends in the wording: “When the chimney burns, the chimney burns. For those of you who wanted to try it, Lucia says that you should definitely not start the fire with a Christmas tree! In addition to this certainly important advice, please also accept our heartfelt wishes for a beautiful new year 2024.”

Although Petr wanted to get rid of the villa several times after his father’s suicide in 2007, he thanks God. After all, this is the house where he was born and which his father loved above all. “Nowhere else would I have been able to write a book about my dad for his 85th birthday, which he missed. I had to remember here in Jevany. Here at the pond where my sister and mom and I were all so happy. I actually love it here,” he told Aha! I have to go through absolutely everything here. Now I’m happy that we didn’t burn down,” he says honestly.
