Anca (40), uncle of the deceased Upin and Ipin, whose grave went viral in Kota hammer, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), opened his voice regarding the story of the late twins. There is a story that makes the family write Upin and Ipin at the tombstone of that viral tomb.
“That’s not his real name, because he didn’t have a name last time he was buried,” said Anca while talking to detik.com, Tuesday (18/1/2022).
Anca said Upin and Ipin died when they were still babies, namely Upin died in August 1995 when he was just born. The same thing happened to Ipin, who died in April 1996 when he was just born.
“Even when a baby is born, it has no life,” said Anca.
When buried, the family has not given a name. Until many years later, the family started thinking to give a name to a tombstone.
“It’s already twins, let’s go (names) Upin and Ipin,” said Anca.
The purpose of naming it appears for a simple reason. The family is often confused when they want to visit the grave.
“The term is that if we make a pilgrimage, we already have a name,” he said.
However, Anca admitted that she did not know for sure from what year the proposal to name the tombstone was given. He also admitted that he did not know the reason why the names of Upin and Ipin were chosen by the family.
But the uncle confirmed that the name given to his nephew was indeed unique.
“Only her mother also (has a name like) the (film) star, Andy Lau,” concluded Anca.
