A father, mother and their two children were found shot to death this morning inside their home in New City, New York.
Clarkstown Police sent officers shortly after midnight to conduct a welfare check at 10 Clydesdale Court in New City, a town located in the Rockland County, approximately 30 miles north of New York City. It is not clear who alerted authorities.
Responding officers entered the home around 12:20 a.m. Saturday and found four people dead from apparent gunshot wounds. According to the police, the father “appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound”he quoted NBC News.
The investigation is ongoing. The names of the victims were withheld as authorities worked to notify next of kin. The authorities said that The children were between 10 and 12 years old..
