The handover of the body of Kopda Hendrianto, a soldier from Yonif 133/Yudha Sakti (YS) Task Force who died in an attack by an armed criminal group (KKB), was marked by the family’s sad tears. Kopda Hendrianto died after securing Christmas in Maybrat Regency, Southwest Papua.
Reported detikNorth Sumatra, the body handover ceremony itself was carried out by Korem 032/Wirabraja, Padang. West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi acted as ceremonial inspector in handing over the body.
Monitoring detikNorth Sumatra, Wednesday (27/12/2023) the sound was soft, until Kopda Hendrianto’s wife and children cried when Kopda Hendrianto’s body arrived at Korem 032/Wirabraja.
During the ceremony, Kopda Hendrianto’s wife seemed unable to stand. He was seen sitting in a wheelchair.
Meanwhile, his child was being carried by a TNI soldier. When the body was about to be sent by TNI ambulance to Kerinci Regency, Jambi, emotional cries broke out again.
West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi said Kopda Hendrianto was an outstanding soldier. This proved that the deceased was sincere in carrying out his duties.
“We all pray that the deceased will be placed in the best place and that the family left behind will be given patience. The deceased died in carrying out a very noble task,” said Mahyeldi.
