Family of 6 Brebes Child Rapists Admits Asked for Peaceful Money by NGOs

Case rape children in Brebes by six men were shocked because it ended peacefully with the intervention of unscrupulous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) Barisan Patriot Care Indonesia (BPPI). The perpetrator’s family admitted that they were asked by members of an NGO to provide peace money.

Reported detikJateng, the demand for money was revealed from the confessions of several of the perpetrator’s families. One of the perpetrators’ fathers, K, admitted that members of the BPPI NGO asked for money. K said the money must be made available immediately to “solve” the case rape that.

Initially, continued K, members of the NGO asked for Rp. 200 million from the six perpetrator families. Because it was considered very burdensome, there was a bargain. In the end, the families of the perpetrators agreed that they would only be able to provide Rp. 70 million in a joint venture.

“The people from the NGO say, “If today is not over, the Brebes Police will intervene to handle the rape case.” He asked for money ASAP and had to deal that very night. Initially asking for Rp. 200 million and I asked for a bargain and at that time it was agreed to be Rp. 70 million,” he said.

“The reason is to give it as compensation to the victim. But in reality the victim only received around Rp. 30 million. There were many witnesses, from the heads of the RT, heads of sub-district heads, to heads of villages,” he stated.

The parents of the other perpetrator, S, said that during the mediation, he did not participate because his husband had already represented him. At that time, her husband contributed Rp. 13 million to compensate the victim’s family. Meanwhile, the parents of the other perpetrators handed over IDR 18.4 million to IDR 5 million.

Met separately, the head of the BPPI NGO, Edi Sucipto, admitted his involvement in the mediation as a community figure. He refused to bring up the name of the BPPI NGO. Edi admitted that he did not know anything about the compensation money. Because, according to him, the money was given directly to the victim.

Edi’s partner, Udin Zein, who witnessed the mediation, explained that he and NGOs were involved in helping victims. Initially, they admitted that they wanted to bring this case to justice. About the amount of money asked to the family perpetratorUdin firmly said he did not know anything.

“As for me, when it comes to money, I don’t know the amounts. As for the nominal, it’s a form of compassion out of compassion. Previously, the victim didn’t want to receive money and didn’t want to report. Because it was mediated from the start,” he continued.
