A Rio Grande Valley Army veteran died of Covid while visiting family in El Paso.
In addition to grief, Pedro “Pete” Sandoval’s family faces the challenge of bringing his body home.
Sandoval served in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She was helping her son move to El Paso when he tested positive for the virus.
