All three defendants were found guilty on all charges, and it is emphasized in the verdict that skin color has been the motive for several of the acts, writes Ringsaker Blad.

The case, which started in Østre Innlandet District Court in June, has been described as a racism case. The 55-year-old father and his two sons aged 16 and 18 were charged with violence and threats against a Norwegian-Somali family, who after several years chose to move from Elverum to Oslo.

The charges cover several incidents between 25 December 2019 and until the end of June 2020. The father of the family has also been convicted earlier for hate speech and threats against the same family.

None of the defendants pleaded guilty, but the court has unanimously concluded that all three are convicted according to all points in the indictment

The father of the family has received the most severe sentence of 120 days in prison, and that he must pay reparation to the family.

The 16-year-old has been sentenced to probation for 60 days, with a probation period of three years, while the eldest son was sentenced for intentional complicity in threats, and is sentenced to probation for 30 days.

The two boys have been acquitted of claims for reparation to the aggrieved.
