PRESENTATION The legal drama begins with Victor Garber at the head of an extended family and a law firm specializing in family law. Vancouver, Canada. Abigail ‘Abby’ Bianchi is a lawyer with an obvious drinking problem. After hitting rock bottom, Abby, on probation and so close to losing her professional license, finds herself forced to work for her father’s firm, with whom she hasn’t spoken for years. At Svensson and Associates not only will she have to deal with family law for the first time, a branch that doesn’t excite her too much, but she will also have to find a way to get closer to her parent and, above all, she will have to make things work with her half-brother and her her half-sister, who are strangers to her. Will this dysfunctional family be able to help other equally dysfunctional families? EPISODE PLOT Forced to work at her father’s law firm after almost being disbarred, Abby (Jewel Staite) ends up projecting her problems onto a client.
