Family held hostage, Angel Di Maria leaves PSG in the middle of a match

KOMPAS.com – Winger Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Angel Di Maria, leaving the field in the middle of the match when his team faced off against Nantes.

In a match that was held at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Monday (15/3/2021) in the morning WIB, Angel Of Maria pulled out in the 62nd minute and replaced by Leandro Paredes.

However, coach Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to withdraw Angel Di Maria was not due to injury or a change in tactics.

Angel Di Maria is also known to have returned home immediately before the PSG vs Nantes match ended.

French media RMC described the incident as marked as violent, with Angel Di Maria’s wife and child being held hostage.

This is not the first time Angel Di Maria’s house has been targeted by muggers. The 33-year-old player has also experienced something similar when he was in Manchester United’s uniform.

Meanwhile, Di Maria is not the only PSG star who has experienced a robbery incident.

Previously, the houses of several players such as Mauro Icardi, Sergio Rico, Dani Alves, have also been robbed.

Robberies have also befell former PSG players, namely Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

PSG suffered a 1-2 defeat to Nantes in the early hours of the match.

Two of Nantes ‘winning goals were scored by Randal Kolo (59’) and Mosem Simon (71 ‘), while one PSG goal was scored by Julian Draxler (42’).
