The Didactic Classroom of La Grajera has prepared for this weekend, on May 13 and 14, a workshop in which the participants will look for signs of animals, traces and footprints that allow them to identify the animals to which they belong: rabbits, boar baths, remains of the pineapples eaten by squirrels, feathers from different birds and other clues belonging to the species that populate the park.

These workshops will be held in two shifts: from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. On the weekend of May 20 and 21, a workshop will be held to create an ‘Insect Shelter’. Finally, on the weekend of May 27 and 28, a session called ‘My first arborist’ will take place.

On the first weekend of May, the Didactic Classroom also scheduled a session to observe the spring birds that inhabit the La Grajera park.

The Didactic Classroom of La Grajera is at the service of citizens and its objective is to raise awareness and sensitize the population and instill habits and knowledge related to the environment, through recreational and educational activities, theoretical and practical workshops and entertaining itineraries in this environment so special.

The weekend workshops are scheduled for the whole family, so that boys and girls can participate with fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers or other relatives, who enjoy the activities and environmental values ​​that are inculcated.

In addition, outside the classroom, on specific dates, contests are held, such as the ‘Nature drawing and painting contest’ in spring, the ‘Photographic Rally through La Grajera park’, the ‘Environmental gymkhana’ in autumn , the ‘Days for the capture and exhibition of butterflies’, organized in collaboration with a group of experts in lepidoptera.

Also, itineraries are carried out, a basic one lasting 45 minutes and another lasting 90 minutes, around the park explaining the most significant points and the interactions of the flora and fauna of this environment.

All these activities, contests and itineraries, complete with leaflets, are available to citizens in the Aula Didctica.
