Morbid surprise for the family of the late Sonya White. The funeral of this woman who died at the age of 51 was organized this Monday in the State of Ohio (United States). “When we entered, there was a different body in his coffin. He was wearing his clothes, underwear, earrings and wig. We were devastated. We were all crying. We were upset, ”said the cousin of the deceased. Sonya White’s sister denounced an “inexcusable” act on the part of the funeral directors. “You expect your loved one to be handled with care when they pass away,” she said.
Following this very unfortunate misunderstanding, the funeral home apologized to the family. The funeral was postponed by two hours in order to switch the bodies. “We were asked to come back because they [devaient] swap bodies and change earrings,” added the cousin of the deceased. But the story may not end there. The family could file a complaint against the Marlan Gary funeral home, which has already made similar errors in the past.
