After a satisfactory first quarter, the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are also being felt in the family business Koenig + Neurath, Hessian provider of office furniture and room systems, noticeable. Sales in 2020 are behind the original planning. According to the current forecasts of the Management Board, a significant decline in sales compared to the previous year is expected for the 2020 financial year and a tense market situation can also be expected for 2021. This development also has a sensitive impact on the economic situation and forces the company to minimize costs across the board and to cut back planned investments.
After Dirk Offermanns’ resignation, CEO Michael Cappello is now also responsible for international sales in addition to his previous area of responsibility for national sales and marketing.
