Family and friends greeted Sanne Bos (26) who crashed from Nuenen on Friday afternoon. The private farewell meeting was at the Schoorsveld natural cemetery in Heeze.
Behind the coffin is a large portrait of Sanne in the ceremonial hall. On the way to his coffin, colorful autumn leaves lie on the floor and there are flowers.
Some media were allowed to be present in the ceremony hall prior to the start of the farewell service. This was done in consultation with a spokesperson for On behalf of the Family (part of Victim Support). They assist the family.
Sanne was the personal advisor to the multiple disabled girl Hebe of Vught. Together they left last Monday afternoon in a black Kia Picanto from ‘t Overstapje, an orthopedic day center in Raamsdonksveer. They never made it to Vught. The police searched for days, with the support of several volunteer groups. An AMBER notice was also issued.
Fatal accident
The search ended dramatically after two days when Sanne’s car was found in the water at Knooppunt Empel (A59 / A2) near Den Bosch. Police believe the couple died in a fatal accident.
The family lived for days between hope and despair. “This is a terrible ending to a great drama. Our pain is intense and very great, “the family said in a statement shortly after the discovery of Sanne and Hebe.
People who want to show support for relatives can still do so at Vught’s HebeHuis. The family thanks all those who helped during the research and for the sympathy they received.
Since the deaths of Sanne and Hebe, there has been a memorial at the HebeHuis in Vught. People put flowers and stuffed toys in it.
