‘Family’ actor Maxime De Winne ended up in hospital after an unfortunate fall with a bicycle showbiz

“Last week was not a good week”, writes De Winne with two photos from his hospital bed. “’Right to old muile‘ they say in Ghent. Well, I went nuts. Eight stitches in my face, a broken helmet and a broken bicycle.”

The actor was cared for in hospital by his girlfriend Laurence, who works there. “I want to thank her for the eight threads she put in,” he continues. “And I also want to thank my racing team for their care. I was lucky, that much is certain.”

De Winne is not the only BV who had bad luck on the racing bike. Actress Ann Van den Broeck (44) came last weekend even though ugly after she went overboard.
