Families who lost everything in the Promised Land invasion cry out for help

After the unfortunate fire that occurred this Wednesday afternoon in the Tierra Prometida invasion, an event that left two families without housing, the community of this sector and those affected have requested the help of the community in general and municipal entities.

The flames that took away everything in their path left them without utensils, clothing and elements that are necessary for human subsistence; which is why the president of the councilors of commune 3, Diomedes Urdiales, called on local entities to arrange humanitarian aid for the families who lost everything in the fire.

Two families were left with nothing after the fire, however, the community has shown solidarity. “We regret this situation that affects families,” commented the communal councillor.

For their part, the affected families also requested the support of the public while they find a solution to the incident. “The losses were total, we were left with nothing, we have not yet received any help, we are in need of food, clothing in good condition for children and adults, mattresses, personal hygiene items, because we lost all of them.”“said Emilce Cardenas, one of those affected.

Likewise, Yajaira Martínez, also a victim of the fire, expressed that “We need help, we are left with what we had on. Although some neighbors have helped us, it is something that affects us a lot.”

One of the possible hypotheses that was expressed by the councilor, which could have been the cause of the raging fire, would have been a possible short circuit that caused the two homes to burn.
