This Thursday afternoon, El Salvador Firefighters reported a fire that originated in a location that functions as a warehouse and sale of motorcycle parts in the Venezuela Boulevard sector, near the West terminal, San Salvador.
According to the director of the El Salvador Fire Department, Baltazar Solano, no victims of the incident were reported; However, 12 families were evacuated from their homes in the El Rosal Sur neighborhood.
“We have evacuated 12 families in the El Rosal Sur neighborhood, because the fire on the south side of the neighborhood threatened to spread. We prevented the houses in the neighborhood from burning, a UNO gas station and part of the businesses on the west side of the warehouse,” Solano said.
The National Civil Police (PNC) kept vehicular traffic closed while firefighters carried out maneuvers to extinguish the fire.
In another incident that was reported during the early morning, the fire department responded to a fire in a sheet and wood house in the Bendiciones de Dios community, Cuscatancingo, San Salvador. The authorities only reported material damage.
