As previously known, Jesse Klaver and Corinne Ellemeet top the list. There are two new names in the top 10. The first new entrant is Senna Maatoug in fifth place. She now works at the Ministry of Finance. Kauthar Bouchallikht, who describes the party as a climate activist, is the other prominent newcomer in place 9. The top 10 is further filled by well-known MPs such as Tom van der Lee (3), Laura Bromet (4), Bart Snels (6), Suzanne Kröger (7), Paul Smeulders (8) and Lisa Westerveld (10). Member of Parliament Nevin Özütok is in 17th place.
In the Polling Guide, a weighted average of various polls, GroenLinks has about fifteen seats.
“This is a club of absolute top players who fight for a sustainable and inclusive society,” says GL leader Jesse Klaver. “Our team of experienced MPs has been enthusiastic about the opposition over the past four years. We supplement that strong team with the greatest talents from our movement. With this list we want to bring GroenLinks into government for the first time in history. ”
With the exception of Klaver, GroenLinks lacks many veterans from The Hague. The sitting MPs all joined parliament during or after the 2017 elections. Experienced employees such as Liesbeth van Tongeren, Linda Voortman and Rik Grashoff have left in recent years. Member of Parliament Bram van Ojik, a veteran in the field of Foreign Affairs and a confidant of Klaver, previously announced his departure.
