Founded in 2019, now the breakthrough: After Famedly was the first provider to receive gematik approval for the TI Messenger, the next important step now follows: Famedly’s TI Messenger went through the so-called “controlled commissioning” (KIB for short) , a process prescribed by gematik. This ensures that technical and procedural hurdles are overcome so that the TI Messenger can be quickly incorporated into daily processes. Famedly’s TI Messenger was successfully put into operation in the first 30 medical facilities in Germany and is now actively used. For the first time, hospitals, nursing services and other medical facilities now have a sustainable messenger for ad hoc communication. This not only improves internal communication, but also facilitates cross-institutional collaboration.
Controlled commissioning (KIB) successfully completed
The controlled commissioning included various test scenarios: installing the software, creating users, carrying out various organizational and application test cases as well as ensuring interoperability and functionality within the TI. Internal and cross-institutional communication processes and interoperability were checked in order to identify and correct possible errors at an early stage. The tests were completed in a total of six facilities of various sizes, from the maximum care University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf to the first care facilities such as the Rötzel senior services, with over 100 users taking part in the tests.

Famedly becomes the first choice in healthcare
The successful introduction in more and more institutions shows that Famedly’s TI Messenger is widely accepted in the healthcare sector and perceived as an essential communication solution. Initial feedback confirms that the work has been made easier in internal and external communication.

Hamburg’s TIMO model region has already tested the Famedly TI Messenger
As one of two model regions in Germany, Hamburg and the surrounding area uses the Famedly TI Messenger to improve interdisciplinary collaboration. In this region, doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, outpatient care, physiotherapy and midwives are testing the TI Messenger in their everyday care. Of these, over 20 institutions have already successfully implemented the TI Messenger.
These practical tests showed the advantages of uncomplicated and efficient communication across different institutions. The feedback from the TIMO model region is positive. Institutions report that the Famedly TI Messenger has become an integral part of their everyday life, as it can greatly simplify communication between teams and also with external partners.
