Fameck. One breaks the windows of the car, the other breaks glass on his head

The two men live in Fameck and they hate each other. Except that at the end of August, their mutual animosity took a violent turn.

They first meet in the parking lot of the fitness trail in Gandrange. Their versions of the meeting are opposed, of course. But the result is indisputable: one broke two windows in the Renault Espace where his rival and his 5-year-old son were. The little one was injured in the face, a shard of glass hit his eye, fortunately not serious.

The father of the young victim assures us that their assailant had a golf club. The attacker explains that he just picked up a stick on the ground to defend himself. He claims he was then chased back to his home. He took refuge inside his house before coming out with a knife claiming that his rival, driving the Renault, wanted to crush him. The interested party denies. The two filed a complaint the next day.

In a parking lot then at the bistro

The story does not end there. Ten days later, an assault occurred in a PMU in Fameck. The man who smashed the car windows a few days earlier is at the bistro. The father sees him and rushes at him. Surveillance cameras film him throwing a cup in his face. He breaks a bottle on her head, punches her. This is what emerges from the procedure mentioned by the Thionville criminal court last Monday.

The author of the blows to PMU, the stronger of the two men, explains that he is insulted, threatened as soon as they meet. He was even reportedly gassed with a tear gas canister. “I was fed up, I wanted it to stop,” he explains at the helm. The other defendant, smaller, thinner, does not agree. He promises, however, that he had not seen the 5-year-old boy sitting in the car when he smashed the windows.

Contact prohibition

“The facts are serious, the consequences too and nobody questions himself”, annoys the president of the court of Thionville. “Where is it going to end before there is awareness?” His focus plunges the courtroom into silence.

The trial will not have reconciled the defendants. Both are doomed. The father of the family, six mentions in the criminal record for former drug cases in particular, receives ten months in prison, four of which are subject to a probationary period. The other, a record for domestic violence in 2007, takes twelve months in prison including four months suspended probation also. The penalties are adaptable. But the two forties are prohibited from coming into contact for two years.
