On September 7, Bethesda and Xbox presented a laudatory rating for the game Starfield from the media. Despite the fact that it did not include ratings from IGN and GS, two of the most influential gaming publications, it was ridiculed by players. Now, user TigerCA213 has discovered that the media’s praising picture of Starfield was actually a fake. TigerCA213 angrily stressed: “How many times has Xbox deceived consumers?”
As you can see in the commendable picture of Starfield, there is a Metro portal. The table states that Metro’s rating is 5/5 (full rating), but in fact the official Metro website shows a rating of 6 out of 10 points, and even if converted to a 5-point scale, it turns out to be a 3 /5. Reviewers pointed out a large number of shortcomings in Starfield, and also stated that they would not give the game more than 6 points.
Starfield is one of those games that has a long and glaring list of problems, but the core concept still allows the game to rise above its shortcomings. We enjoyed the game more than the first few hours, but by the time we started writing the full review, we still couldn’t imagine giving it more than a 6 out of 10, says Metro.
TigerCA213 said bluntly: “Xbox deliberately changed the rating to perfect. The Xbox brand is built on a lie.”
TigerCA213’s post received a lot of attention, with many players reaching out to Bethesda and Xbox in the comments section for an explanation. According to players, the current Starfield media rating is as follows:
At the moment, no one from Bethesda or Xbox representatives has yet commented on this matter.
