Rüsselsheim (dpa / lhe) – False police officers stole money, jewelry and coins worth over 150,000 euros from an elderly woman in Rüsselsheim. The police headquarters in Darmstadt announced on Tuesday that an alleged police officer fooled her into thinking that a gang of thieves wanted her savings. The woman was asked to hand them over to the police to be on the safe side. A day later a man picked up the things. On Monday, just under three weeks after the crime, the 79-year-old asked the police about her valuables and learned about the fraud.
