The Israel Broadcasting Corporation reported on Sunday that the political echelon had instructed the army not to target Beirut and its suburbs, and that the Air Force had not raided there in the past three days.

She said that the head of the US Central Command, General Eric Kurella, who visited the country about a week ago, asked the Israeli Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevy, that the Israeli army would stop attacking Beirut. and the suburb, and the Head of staff raised the request to a political level.

She continued, “Last Wednesday, in a conversation between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden called for the Israeli army to attack Beirut and its suburbs. “

She noted, “Thursday evening, the last attack was made, and since then the Israeli army – under the leadership of the political level – has not attacked there (Beirut and the suburbs).

In response to an inquiry about the credibility of this directive, the spokesman of the Israeli army confirmed to correspondent Al-Hurra that the army is fighting to achieve the objectives of the war according to an organized plan and based on the recommendations of the political level .

Estimates in Israel show that Hezbollah has about a third of the missile capacity it had before the start of last year’s war, which means it can continue to fire hundreds of shells and missiles a day. .

On Sunday night, the Israeli army announced that four of its soldiers were killed in a march attack that crossed the air from the Lebanese region and exploded at a military training center near the city of Binyamina in the center of the country.
