Fallout: New Vegas creator Obsidian is working on 2D RPG Pentiment – Gaming – News

Obsidian Entertainment announces Pentiment. The development of this narrative 2d game is led by Josh Sawyer, who previously helmed Fallout: New Vegas. The game will be released later this year.

Set in sixteenth-century Bavaria, Pentiment takes players on a journey through the eyes of artist Andreas Maler. The 2D role-playing game is described as a ‘narrative adventure’; it appears to be a murder mystery. The game is designed as a medieval work of art and is set in a book.

The game is in development at Obsidian Entertainment, which is also currently working on a sequel to The Outer Worlds and RPG Avowed. The game will be available for Xbox consoles and PCs and will be available through Game Pass upon release. The game will be released in November.
