Fallout 4 will finally get PS5 and XSX versions. We know the date of the big update – CD-Action

What year is it? It seems it’s still 2024. Fallout 4 was released almost 9 (!) years ago, current generation consoles have been on the market for three and a half years. Bethesda promised a next-gen update for its title in 2022, but it was clearly in no hurry. It took the premiere of the Amazon series for something to finally move forward. Of course, this makes a lot of sense: CD Projekt Red made exactly the same move with The Witcher 3, when interest in the game reached its zenith after the premiere of the Netflix series.

Bethesda has finally officially announced that we will play the next-gen (or rather current-gen) update of Fallout 4 on April 25. PC players shouldn’t feel left out: a big update full of new features awaits them too. Of course, everything is free for owners of the game.

Native versions for PS5 and XSX will receive two game modes typical of this generation: quality-oriented and performance-oriented. So we can expect higher resolution, 60 fps and numerous minor bug fixes and improved stability. The latter can also be counted on by PS4 and Xbox One owners, who will also receive the appropriate patch.

In turn, PC players will receive support for ultra-wide resolutions and improved operation of the Creation Kit service, as well as fixes for quests, stability, mods, and various other bugs. Fallout 4 will also be available on the Epic Games Store, if anyone has been waiting for its release there, and will be verified to run on Steam Decks.

That’s not all, as Bethesda will reward our patience while waiting for this update with a set of free Enclave Survivors, Makeshift Weapons, and Halloween Workshop packs.

You will find more details on Bethesda’s website.
