“Fallout 4” and “Star Sky”: Bethesda’s Online Peaks and Long-Term Content Plans

Although it’s still not the Bethesda game with the highest online peaks on Steam. “Fallout 4” eight years ago had the highest number, with a peak online number of 472,000. However, this is because a considerable 70% of players will play through the Microsoft Mall and Game Pass subscription service.

Bethesda plans to have a long-term content update plan to keep players engaged, including official DLC (the first story DLC-Shattered Space), free updates, and MODs. In an interview with Japanese media Famitsu, game director Todd Howard revealed that the official MOD tool for “Star Sky” will be launched sometime in 2024.

It is worth mentioning that “Elder Scrolls V” was released on November 11, 2011, and the MOD tool was launched together with the high-resolution texture pack on February 7, 2012. “Fallout 4” is slightly longer and was released on November 10, 2015. The MOD tool launched the BETA public beta version on PC on April 26, 2016.

It is speculated that the official MOD tool of “Starry Sky” may be launched in January or February 2024 at the latest.
